BPM has watched and documented the progression of dance music in America since the mid-nineties. BPM Magazine was one of the leading voices for dance music in America from 1996 until 2009. BPM relaunched as the BPM Network shortly after that final print edition for Winter Music Conference, 2009.
We’re excited to announce a special limited print edition of BPM that we are distributing this week for free in Miami at the parties, clubs, festivals and hotels at the centre of Miami Music Week and Winter Music Conference. This special print edition features the BPM 2014 Next On The Decks 45.
We’ve always taken great pride in covering who and what was coming next. To get a true view from the trenches of who is coming up in 2014, we assembled a panel of music industry insiders–agents, promoters, managers, bloggers, and one world-famous radio personality–some old dogs and some young guns.
Their jobs put them on the front line and cutting edge of what we’re now calling EDM. We polled them for the artists, labels, clubs, events, destinations, sounds, technology, platforms, and products that were popping on their radar for 2014, with a conscious decision to focus on what’s happening in North America for now.
From their answers we created the 2014 Next On The Decks 45 list.
In addition we assembled BPM’s Miami Party Guide 2014 and Miami local, Jessie Andrew’s Guide To The Real Miami for pro tips on clubs, bars, restaurants and beaches.
